The Vineyard

Windmill Farm & Vineyard is located in the Dunnigan Hills appellation, part of the heart of the Yolo County wine region. A significantly diverse wine growing region from its sister Napa County, it is bordered by the Vaca range of hills to the west and the Sacramento River Delta to the south allowing for a broad selection of varietals to be grown that range from Tempranillo and Petite Sirah to Zinfandel and Barbera. Though a young vineyard, Windmill produces an annual tonnage of 110 tons of grapes per year for winemakers across the state.

Our grapes have recently been acclaimed in the San Francisco Chronicle for superior contribution to a host of blended wines and we are currently expanding our grape offerings by staying on the cutting edge of varietal grafting, mixing a blend of vines from Italian, French and Spanish origin.
